BRINDLEY, John Henry

Ontario. 11 November 1917

John Brindley was the son of Mrs J. Brindley 54 Tower Atreet, Dudley, and had emigrated to Canada before 1914. Like many who had recently arrived from Britain he volunteered for the Canadian forces and was sent to the Western Front. He served in the 18th Battalion, Canadian Infantry and was killed in action on the 11th November 1917. Lance Sergeant was 22 years of age and is commemorated on the Menine Gate, and Dudley Memorials and on the Canadian National Roll of Honour.
