CARTWRIGHT, William Nebo

South Staffordshire. 08 May 1915

William Cartwright was the son of Mrs Cartwright of 69 The Delph, Brierley Hill. He volunteered for the South Staffords and was sent to the 3rd (Reserve) Battalion which was stationed at Plymouth for training. Suffering from either accident or illness he had treatment at Plymouth hospital where he died on the 8th May 1915. He is buried in Plymouth Efford Cemetery (C 45944) and commemorated on the Brierley Hill and Brierley Hill church Memorials and the Delph District Roll of Honour.
