The name of S. Cooksey appears on the memorials at St. Thomas's church and the Methodist church, Stourbridge. Service in the 1st Worcesters is recorded and the date of his death appears as the 5th August 1918. These details, however, are not verified in the usual sources or the Regiment's records.
