John Silvers lived at 2 Court, 8 High Street, Kates Hill, Dudley. He enlisted in the Worcesters and was transferred to the Labour Corps at some point in his service. It seems that he did leave the country at any time and did not qualify for any medals. He suffered from either accident or disease and died on the 12th November 1918, just one day after the armistice. He was 28 years of age and is buried in the cemetery of St. John's, Kates Hill, Dudley, and commemorated on the Dudley and St. John's church, Dudley, Memorials.
