George Miller lived at 34 Norton Road and by 1914 he was married to Emily. He had enlisted in the Devonshire Regiment but was transferred to the Labour Corps. As a result of sickness or wounds he was sent home for treatment but died on the 6th November 1918. His body was returned to Stourbridge and he is buried in Stourbridge Cemetery (P 60). He was 29 years of age and is commemorated on the Stourbridge and St. Thomas's church Memorials.
