Robert Parker was the son of Mary Ann Parker of 93 Fenton Street, Brierley Hill, and worked at the Moor Street brickyard of the Stourbridge Glazed Brick Company. He enlisted in the Machine Gun Corps and was sent to one of the Divisions near St Quentin close to the Hindenburg Line. The information came from the International Red Cross in Geneva in August to the effect that Robert Parker had died of wounds from a shot in the head.
