Isaiah Wassell enlisted in the Lincolnshire Regiment and was transferred to the Labour Corps. He returned home, suffering from either wounds or sickness and died on the 28th September 1917 Private Isaiah Wassall is buried in Holy Trinity, Wordsley, churchyard (9 28) and commemorated on the Wordsley Memorial.
