Harold Hale lived at 33 Heath Street, Stourbridge, and before the war had been a motor mechanic. He enlisted in August 1915 and joined the RAMC. He served in the 2nd South Midland Field Ambulance and remained on home service. He was evidently unfit to serve abroad and was discharged on the 4th September 1917 suffering from valvular disease. Private Hale died in Stourbridge on the 19th March 1919 and is buried in Stourbridge Cemetery (D 816). He was 21 years of age and is commemorated on the Stourbridge and Methodist church Memorials.
