Christopher Hulston was born at Hasbury and volunteered for the Worcesters. He joined the 4th Battalion who were in the 29th Division and sent to Gallipoli in April 1915. They landed on the 25th April and started a contest for the control of the rugged peninsula. Two attempts were made at the village of Krithia to drive the Turks back but both failed. The British front line was served by a track down Gully Ravine and an attempt was made on the night of the 18th June to make it safe. It was another failure and among the killed in action was Private Christopher Hulston. He is commemorated on the Helles and on Halesowen Memorials.
