James Moore served in the Worcestershire Regiment but there is no available evidence of his service record. He died on the 21st January 1921 and is buried in Wordsley Cemetery. His head-stone carries the quotation, ‘I heard the voice of Jesus say, Come unto me and rest.’, and this suggests long term debilitating injuries.
