David Reynolds lived with his wife, Harriet, at 62 High Street, Cradley, and volunteered for the Worcesters. He was sent to the 4th Battalion and was possibly included in the original Gallipoli Expeditionary Force of April 1915. If not, he was in the later reinforcements for the 4th Battalion which mounted a strong diversionary attack at Krithia for the landings of the 6th August. The tough Turkish defence meant that the battalion's losses were heavy and among them was Private David Reynolds. He was 35 years of age and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. He is also commemorated on the Cradley and Halesowen Memorials.
