William Taylor was the son of William Taylor of Lye. He enlisted in the Army Ordnance Corps and served in No. 1 Section. This small unit was part of an unidentified Company which might have remained in Britain. He died on home service and is buried in Aldershot Military Cemetery and commemorated on the Lye and Wollescote Memorial.
