WALKER, Wilfred

Royal Artillery. 01 July 1918

Wilfred Walker was married to Lily Matilda who lived at 55 Wrights Lane, Old Hill. He enlisted in the Royal Field Artillery and served as a Gunner. He had been posted to No. 1 Depot and seems to have died there on the 1st July 1918 as a result of accident or as a casualty of battle. He was 26 years of age and is buried in Old Hill Spring Baptist chapel yard (2 20) and commemorated on the Lye and Wollescote and Lye church Memorials.
