Grenadier Guards. 21 June 1916

This soldier is presumed to be recorded as J. Scott in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission documents and is thought to have been born in Brierley Hill. They moved to Flanders in March 1916 and were in the front lines for periods of aggressive action but there were no battles. Guardsman Isaac Scott was seriously wounded and was sent to a military hospital at Poperinge where he died of wounds on the 21st June.
